More AOII House Goodness! Texas A&M , Western Kentucky, and Illinois State Sorority House Tours with Abbe Fenimore!

Sep 16th 2020

We were able to go along for the Rhodes install day at the AOII house in Memphis, but designer Abbe Fenimore of Studio Ten25 has been on a major road trip over the last month to get all the details right in another three (THREE!) houses around the country. First, we will go to Western Kentucky where the beautiful cover image of Abbe sitting atop a custom upholstered (DIXON acrylic x frame stool) was taken.

Lucky girls! Is there a better place to do classwork and hang with friends than around our POLLOCK WH scalloped edge table and the custom AOII infinity rose chairs? They all look so comfortable and the natural light coming in with the beautifully trimmed curtains finishes out the space and makes it feel like a home for these girls away at college.

Our pretty pagoda style gold leaf LENWOOD G mirror is a great place for the girls to check how they look before they run off to class and reflects light to help the space feel airy and bright.

The OLIVE WH lacquer side table has three tiers to display different books or accessories and the curved sides lend a playful aspect to the design.

The main living space has cozy sofas and chairs around a central ottoman and Abbe chose our DRAYTON WH chest as a smart storage solution for the area to keep it from getting cluttered. Thanks to the chapter at Western Kentucky for letting us into the house! You can follow their Instagram at @wkuaoii for more information.

Now, we head a little to the north and west to Illinois State where I count multiple Worlds Away pieces. Front and center we have custom upholstered DIXON acrylic stools with a brass stretcher. They are perfect for portable seating to move around and have a low enough profile that they can slide under desks or most console tables. The plush grey velvet GAYLE chairs flank our hammered gold TAYLOR G coffee table, and the popular SONYA WH side tables around the sofa provide one drawer for storage and a bottom shelf for displaying accessories or books. Our curvy DELANEY CO lamps are feminine and the color compliments all the pretty pinks and blush tones Abbe used in the space.

Our KELLY WH console echoes the playful curves seen in the lamps and side tables in the other room, and is the perfect height for behind the sofa.

Look at this! The custom chairs alone are lovely, but seeing them in a group really makes a statement. AOII sisters all over the country are going to want them for their individual homes or sorority houses! To follow along the adventures of the chapter at Illinois State, go to their Instagram @aoiibetanu.

At Worlds Away we do some limited custom orders with relatively low minimums, so if you have a project you can contact hospitality@worlds-away.com and see if there is something we can do for you.

The last house takes us to Aggie country at Texas A and M! Our white lacquer trellis VERO mirrors act almost like art on the walls, and reflect light to help keep the space feeling big and bright. In their reflection, you can see our best-selling MCKENZIE G golf leaf chandeliers. Abbe again went with the OLIVE WH side table to go between the floral chairs for a feminine touch.

In this room, Abbe chose one of our Spring 2020 introductions for the coffee table. The KAPLAN WHL with its square leg and nod to the popular Greek key seen in so many classic designs works perfectly here. It is also a new finish for us, and is a lacquered white linen so there is a subtle texture when viewing up close that adds to the complexity of the design.

In closing, our acrylic and golf leaf chandelier LAYLA G both greets visitors coming in and sees them off on their way out the door. It is an elegant focal point for the foyer and no doubt goes unnoticed. Certainly the @aggieaoii are thrilled with the way their house has turned out!

Special thanks to the talented Abbe Fenimore for letting Worlds Away be a part of her vision, and Emily Hart (@emilyhartphoto) for taking such beautiful photographs for us to share with you!
