Executive Creative Director Neal Edwards sat down for a zoom call with one of Worlds Away's designers and stockists, Penny Francis of Eclectic Home in New Orleans.

About Penny:

Penny Francis, Principal Designer and Owner of Eclectic Home, a full-service design firm and retail store located in New Orleans. Established in 2000 after learning that finding the right finishing touches proved difficult, she recognized the necessity for a store where a selection of those items was available in one place. Eclectic Home is truly its name sake; Diverse. She believes good design knows no time period and that is truly reflected in the curated selection of furnishings presented in the showroom. Her Work has been featured locally and nationally. Contributed to articles and works published in Southern Living, HGTV Home Magazine, Décor Magazine, New Orleans Magazine, Inside New Orleans, and New Orleans Homes and Lifestyles. Design Projects featured on the television show MTV Cribs which highlights the homes of celebrities. Chosen as 2013 Design Master by New Orleans Homes and Lifestyles Magazine. Best of New Orleans for Lighting and contemporary furnishings awarded by New Orleans Homes and Lifestyles 2014-2019. Named Retail Star for 2019 by Home Accents Today. Arts Award Finalist 2016 and 2020. Her design philosophy is that Great design begins with a keen understanding of the client's needs. Each project is unique and should reflect the client. The most important resource is to know how to find what you are looking for. Her search for cherished objects for clients is why Eclectic Home was founded.
