Photo Contest Official Rules

 

THE CONTEST

Submit lifestyle photos incorporating current Worlds Away products (must be included in the 2026 Catalog and/or 2026 Supplements). Winner will be announced via social media during High Point Market (date/time TBD).

Submission Period: Thursday, August 6th through Thursday, October 1st, 2026

HOW TO ENTER

All entrants must complete BOTH of the following two steps:

  1. Post your entry to your Instagram feed and Instagram story using #WAphotocontest2026 and tag @WorldsAway1. Instagram posts submitted for contest entries must remain published and publicily accessible until winners are announced. 
  2. Email your entry to Marketing@Worlds-Away.com and include all required information listed below.

All entries must have the following:

  • Lifestyle composition
  • Feature at least one active product from the Worlds Away 2026 Catalog and/or Supplements
  • High resolution images, 300 dpi minimum
  • Designer credit
  • Photographer credit (if applicable)
  • Account name

There is no limit on the number of submissions per entrant!

ENTRANT RESPONSIBILITIES/REQUIREMENTS

  1. Submissions must be lifestyle/room images that feature at least one Worlds Away product currently active from the 2026 collection.
  2. Images submitted must be high resolution, 300 dpi minimum.
  3. Entrants must be 18 years of age or older to enter. If you are below the age of 18, you must send us written consent from your parent or legal guardian before you can enter the contest.
  4. Entrants must be the copyright owner of any work submitted and must also confirm they have the necessary permission from people who may appear in the photo.
  5. Entrants must own the rights to the photographs submitted and provide photographer credit, if applicable.
  6. Photos uploaded to the contest cannot be deleted and must remain published.
  7. Entrants and/or Photographers will be required to sign a photo release waiver(s).
  8. Entrants are required to have an existing account in good standing with Worlds Away.
  9. Please do not post any photographs that may contain obscene, vulgar, pornographic, hateful, threatening, racist, sexist, discriminatory content, or which otherwise violate any local or international law.
  10. Entries must feature authentic photography. Images that are wholly or partially generated by artificial intelligence (AI) are not eligible for this contest.

COPYRIGHT

  • The entrant must be the sole author and owner of the copyright of photos entered in the competition. Worlds Away, LLC respects photographers’ rights and does not claim copyright of images you submit to this contest; you will retain full copyright in each entry. Whenever your image is published by World Away, LLC, you will be credited. Failure to publish a credit due to error or oversight shall not be deemed a breach of this condition.

USAGE RIGHTS

  • By entering this contest, you agree that any images you submit may be used by Worlds Away, LLC for the purpose of this contest, future contests, Worlds Away printed catalog and/or supplments, or for Worlds Away, LLC marketing purposes for any period of time. 
  • Judging 
    • Our panel of judges will assess all entries and select one photo for First Place, one photo for Second Place, and one photo for Third Place.
    • Once the entry period of the contest closes, winners will be exhibited within 7-14 days.
    • The judges’ decision is final, and they will not enter into communication relating to entries.

  • PRIZES

    • Details relating to any prizes will be sent to the winners via email within 30 days of the winner being announced.
    • The prize will be awarded in the form of Worlds Away credit towards product(s) of your choice. Credit must be used within one year of receipt, cannot be used towards shipping costs or custom upholstery, and must be applied towards active Worlds Away product(s).
    • Prize is $2,000 in Worlds Away credit to the first-place winner, $1,500 to the second-place winner, and $1,000 in Worlds Away credit to the third-place winner.
    • Prizes are non-transferrable and cannot be redeemed for cash.

    By entering our competition, you are deemed to have read and agreed to these terms and conditions. Worlds Away, LLC reserves the right to cancel or amend the contest or the terms at any time without prior notice.
